Kent and East Sussex Railway from Tenterden. Ferry from Dover to Calais, don't forget passports! Shopping at Bluewater 35 mins by car, and Tunbridge Wells. Groombridge Place, The Hop Farm, Museum of Kent Life, Chatham Dockyard. Finchcocks music museum. Visit the coast Camber Sands and Rye (24miles).
